The PS3 owners aren’t as lucky as the PC users. But all hope is not lost, 2K Games are trying to migrate these two titles to another online servers service. So online services for Borderlands and Civilization Revolution on the PS3 will be shutting down beginning May 31. Another 2K game which will be effected by the GameSpy termination is 2K Games’ Civilization Revolution.
Fans will not be able to play Borderlands 2 online with other friends. Borderlands 2 publisher 2K Games are one of many victims of this dilemma and are greatly effected by it. GameSpy has provided and hosted multiplayer services for a variety of video games and in 2012, GameSpy was purchased and people started to wonder what impact that would have on the games which use the GameSpy online servers.įrom 31st May, players will not be able to connect to the online servers of the games which had GameSpy servers. Borderlands 2 was one of the most played games of 2013 and has won multiple awards but sadly all good things come to an end.
